GENERAL INFORMATION
- The Board of Directors encourage all members to help maintain the ranges here at CSLC and to please read your membership book or review this website in detail.
- Members using the grounds, MUST have a valid membership card visibility displayed on their outer garment. Photos of your card are not acceptable.
- Membership includes spouse and children up to 18 years old and college students up to 23 years old.
- Members under 18 must be supervised by a member 18 years or older.
- Memberships are available at CSLC Farm House, from many members, Troxell's Sporting Goods, and Elery Nau.
- Safety and sportsmen like conduct are required at all times. Violation of this policy can result in revocation of membership with no refund!
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all ranges.
- Willful destruction of CSLC property and/or trespassing will result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law possible and revocation of membership with no refund!
- Remove any debris from the area after shooting. IF YOU BRING IT, TAKE IT WITH YOU! No dumping.
- Eye and ear protection are required on ranges.
- Check the schedule of events for match dates, times and location.
- Various ranges may be CLOSED to open shooting during scheduled matches.
- Trap and Skeet ranges are CLOSED during scheduled Hi-Power rifle silhouette matches and Cowboy silhouette matches.
- Special conditions for approved events may override this general list with Board of Director's approval.
- A Range may be closed at any time for work to be done by the caretaker or grounds crew. Please be patient. The range will be back in operation as soon as possible.
- No tree-stands on property.
- No Doe hunting on property.
CSLC will not be responsible for any damages, either direct, or inconsequential, that may occur as a result of any information presented in this publication; or any member using the facilities.
CSLC is an NRA affiliated organization.
RANGE RULES
- Please read your membership book or this website in detail.
- It is YOUR responsibility to know the rules of the range you are using. Each range has specific rules that can be found in your membership book or within the "Ranges" Section of the website. Please follow them! There will NOT be any warnings given for range/rule violations!
- Any violation of any club or range rule will result in immediate removal from property and loss of your membership. If you return, you will be charged with trespassing!
- There is a maximum of 5 shots per minute, per person, rule for all long guns.
- There is a maximum of 10 shots per minute, per person, for all handguns.
- All 50 BMG Rifles and ammo have been banned. No armor piercing or incendiary ammunition allowed anywhere.
- Paper targets on backboards only. Please remove paper targets when finished shooting at them.
- Shooting at target posts or frames is strictly prohibited. Do not put targets on target frames or posts. Violators will be banned from this club without refund.
- No Ground Targets of any kind on the ranges Anywhere! Examples:
- No glass items, bottles cans, balls, clay birds, paint cans, etc.
- No getting rocks off mounds and putting on rails or range to shoot at.
- No aerosol cans.
- No pumpkins, watermelons, etc.
- No explosive targets like propane tanks.
- No bowling pins, bowling balls, etc.
- No discarded appliances like TV’s or computer monitors, etc.
- Outdoor Pistol - This range shall be used with traditional pistols and revolvers. Only standard caliber photos and revolver cartridges. No magnum calibers, including 357 Sig allowed. Hybrid rifles with shortened barrels, Class 3 semi-automatic firearms and handguns designed for traditional rifle cartridges are not permitted on this range. If you have one of these restricted firearms, go to the Bear on the Mountain Range. Violators will lose their membership if they do not know and abide by the rules that are posted at each range.
- NO shotgun patterning on backboards.
- Standard velocity shotgun shells ONLY on trap and skeet ranges.
- No destruction or defacing of any club property.
- Broadhead tips of any kind are banned from being used at the Archery Range. This includes practice broadhead tips.
- Anyone refusing to show membership card to another member or club official will automatically lose their membership on the spot.
All Pistol, Rifle & Archery Shooting will Stop at DUSK or 9:00 PM, whichever is first!
VISITORS & DAY PASSES
- If a member brings a guest and the guest shoots without buying a Day Pass, the member will be fined and/or lose their membership.
- Day passes are $10.00 outside the gate. If you are caught inside the gate without a day pass, the fine is $20.00
- Visitors using a Day Pass must be supervised by a member in good standing.
- Day Passes – No more than 3 day passes per member.
Child Safety
Please keep an eye on children. Keep them safe from the shooting ranges and away from equipment and buildings where they should not be. Thank you.

THE FUNDAMENTAL NRA RULES FOR SAFE GUN HANDLING ARE:
- Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
- Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
- Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
WHEN USING OR STORING A GUN, ALWAYS FOLLOW THESE NRA RULES:
- Know your target and what is beyond.
- Know how to use the gun safely.
- Be sure the gun is safe to operate.
- Use only the correct ammunition for your gun.
- Wear eye and ear protection as appropriate.
- Never use alcohol or over-the-counter, prescription or other drugs before or while shooting.
- Store guns so they are not accessible to unauthorized persons.
- Be aware that certain types of guns and many shooting activities require additional safety precautions.
- Keep the gun properly cleaned and maintained.
