High Power Rifle Range

  • The Club has invested a great amount of time and money into this range.
  • Please read the Range Rules carefully.
  • Police the range and encourage others to do the same.
  • You may come to the range and find the “Range Closed” sign out. This may be due to work being done in the fields or in the woods out of sight.
  • Do not drive past the pig swinger as you are out of sight from the firing line. Someone may come out and not see you and begin firing.
  • ALWAYS pick-up your brass as it creates a fall hazard.
  • SAFETY – Before going down range, please Turn on Red Warning Lights for your safety. This will alert others that you are down range putting up targets.
  • When driving down range, ALWAYS stay on the road. During wet conditions, the road may be closed. Please walk in a these times. The road will re-open as soon as weather permits.

Dates Closed for High Power Silhouette matches:

  • Tuesdays 5 pm until Dusk – 5/7, 5/28, 6/18, 7/16, 8/6, 8/27
  • Saturdays until 4:30 pm – 3/23, 4/27, 5/25, 6/22, 7/27, 8/24, 9/28, 10/26

High Power & Cowboy lever action silhouette range rules:

  1. Must have a CSLC membership.
  2. NRA regulation metal targets only on rails.
  3. NRA regulation metal swingers only on rails.
  4. All paper targets must be placed on the backboards or away from rails.
  5. Maximum of five rounds per magazine, NRA rule.
  6. No shooting forward of covered firing line.
  7. Please clean up after yourself.

Not Approved for this Range:

  1. No shooting at rails with any rifle!
  2. No .50 Caliber BMG type rifles.
  3. No shooting at cans, bottles, clay birds, or bowling pins.
  4. No handguns or shotguns.
  5. No metal targets closer than 50 meters.
